About Us
Ekarishi Foundation is a social impact organization registered under Section 8, is dedicated to fostering community development in urban slums in Lucknow and neighbouring districts. Our mission is to empower girls as changemakers within their communities, using their leadership to uplift entire households from chronic poverty.
About Us
Since Jan 2021, we have focused on enrolling out-of-school girls back into formal education and providing foundational learning opportunities for older girls. To complement education, we offer training on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), digital safety, health, hygiene, nutrition, and other life skills aimed at building their agency and confidence.

Additionally, we collaborate with government schools in Lucknow to enhance young children’s self-learning and self-discipline capacities by including Social and Emotional Learning components in their curriculum.
​Since 2024, we have expanded our efforts to include raising awareness about welfare and social security schemes and facilitating access to these resources for households in the slums we serve. Our holistic approach strives to create sustainable change by addressing both individual and systemic challenges.
At Ekarishi Foundation, we believe in the power of collective action, and through partnerships, we empower our girls to lead fulfilling lives.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to empower girls from low-income households, especially in urban slums, to become leaders and changemakers who drive sustainable development while uplifting their families and communities.
Our Goal
Our Goal is to empower 25,000 girls by 2029, equipping them with enhanced educational opportunities, improved employment prospects, greater agency, better health, and enabling their families to achieve higher incomes.

Our Vision is to achieve social and economic transformation for girls and help them grow into independent and strong women.
